Question about nutes in a zero-veg setup

So I finally took the plunge, I'm going zero-veg. Only took me about a year of dithering to just do it, but my setup now is inspired in good part by the good Mr. Fuct of RIU fame.

I'm wondering if maybe I should use a 'grow' nutrient mix to start my girls off; usually I'd switch 'em over to a 'bloom' mix when I flip my lights, and trust they had enough nitrogen, etc. to see them through the stretch, but in this case I was thinking maybe it would be a good idea to hold off on the 'bloom' formula for the first 10 days or so.

Thoughts? Anyone done this? And as long as I'm asking, anyone want to share their zero-veg nute formulas?

Thanks much, and wish me luck.

Hi mate, i usually veg all my plants, but when i was re-arranging my set-up i smashed my CFL (i use for veg) and at that time couldnt afford to get another, but i still had my 600watt HPS which i use for flower so i decided to do a non-veg grow. I do now have my CFLs, and as soon as i harvest my plants i am going to go back to vegging my plants. I have done different strains non-veg such as, Blue cheese, OG khush, White Widdow and Northern Lights. I harvested just over an ounce off the Blue cheese and the White widdow. And right now i have the other 2 growing, and they are massive!! the OG khush has gone mental with millions of nodes and is so so tall!! i used my normal nute routine which i used when i vegged, - Bio-Bizz range, root juice for first couple of weeks, then i used grow, bloom and topmax. I also use a homemade CO2 generator which i have found works really well. IMO dont feed your babies anything for the first few days untill they look big enough to take it. Hope this helps mate GW

You will definitely want to run grow nutes with a no-veg SOG grow as all of the vertical growth will take place in that first 21-24 days.

The critical details you left out - what nute brand and growth medium are you running?
