Question about PH

I'm growing in soil. The PH of my tap water is 7.8.
After letting the water sit for 24hrs I adjust it to around 6.5 then water the plants. I keep getting fluctuations and eventually lock out nutes. I know that 7.8 is too high but because of the fluctuations, would it be better to just leave it at 7.8 instead of trying to lower it?

I'm using ProMix Ultimate Organic. Haven't been feeding much, Satori doesn't seem to need it. I did use Superthrive on them yesterday, I think too much and I'm starting to show a little toxicity. I might just be paranoid because my last grow went bad and I don't want to do the same with these.

Take my advice and ditch the superthrive. It's way to strong and to easy to fuck up your plants. Plenty of other inexpensive nutes out there to do the trick. Is there any lime in your soil? My tap water's ph is over 8. I use all organics and don't ph anything. Not saying you shouldn't adjust ph. I personally don't and have no problems. Find a good nutrient line-up add nutes and see what your ph comes out at. Lot's of times the nutes will get your ph in the correct range. Good luck!
