question about strange smelling buds

i recently took down three rather large mothers of the same strain and noticed that one of the girls seems to have suffered quite a bit of cold damage, having turned violet underneath the leafs along the veins, also some of the buds themselves have turned purple.

I also noticed that the smell from this plant is kind of strange....almost a peanut smell...to tell the truth it kinda makes my stomach turn a lil bit, extremely potent smell. the buds are completely inundated with crystals and at 65 days old are prime for the picking....im just wondering if anyone thinks this could be a problem for smoking or just an unfortunate mutation?

hard to tell have you kind of pulled apart the bud to check the middle? as none of the other buds smell that way and being that cold...did you flush hard? hope its not mold but worth a check. wish there was some sort of smell-o-vision as I am curious of the smell myself. good luck!

I really have no clue what you might be smelling, but smells and aromas have particular interest to me, so I thought I would share something that I reference pretty often, the Wiki-page for general smell chemicals: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aroma_compound

A little more investigating and there does not appear to be any mold. But what im finding is that the leaves are very dark green and crispy, leaving me to believe that the buds have taken in a significant portion of nutrients and they are locked into the dying plant.

Not sure how to react. I mean from what i know about biology there's nothing that could possibly be in the buds that could make it any more dangerous to smoke, though it might be unpleasant. Anyone have any experience with that? I'm sure someone would be happy for me to unload this stuff on them cus its beautiful stuff, just really bizarre peantty-chemical smell
