question about the calyx

does more than one calyx grow at each node. I have a plant about 7 days into flower and I see little things forming at the nodes but there are more than one growing at each node. does this mean its male or do females grow more than one calyx at each node?

Kinda sounds like a dude. Can you add some pics? then we can tell for sure...
