Question About The Flowering Time of Liberty Haze.. :D

So Swim has a question.. Swim is growing mmj for the first time, so fas he has not had any major problems. Anyways swims question is about... well how long it takes to flower liberty haze? Now swim already knows to harvest when the trichomes are milky or even amer..... But swims plants are 5 weeks and 6 days from turning to 12/12 and the crystals already apear to be getting milky. The strange thing is Swim informed himself about liberty haze from other grow journals and many people seem to agree that the 8-9 weeks that barney's farm advertises is bullshit.... sooo could it be that swim just got a good phonotype, that flowers as quickly as advertised... or is swim just tripping because he has never seen nice indoor plants before? Swim is thinking about harvesting this plant at week 8 - 9 :p Swim is intrested in any more experienced growers thoughts about when to cut the plant down.. or even when to start flushing it in coco.... any advice is appreciated thank you very much (y) and keep smoking20140829_213232.jpg 20140903_223758.jpg 20140903_223803.jpg (Additional info.... Canna Nutes, Coco/Perlite Mix, From Seed until 12/12 was only 25)

Does it look more like its leaning more to 8 or 9 weeks?? :D Swim us trying to only flush it for 10 - 11 days because its in coco and swim read any longer would be a waste of valuable time where the buds get dense.... what do you think? :p

I dont and wouldn't advise you to flush. Newbs flush, seriously.
It looks really good and has a couple weeks left. I mean that literally. You might push to 3 depending on personal preference

push to 3.... what? days of flushing... 3 more weeks of flower? anyways... you serious about not flushing? wont that leave a nasty flavour?? :S

Since a couple is 2 and the next consecutive number being 3 while in the same paragraph/thought. It would make sense that the push to 3 is also talking about the flowering time.

No lol it won't leave any sort of off taste. Newb perpetuated nonsense.
Flushing won't remove nutes from plant matter anyway. The plant naturally forms an abscission layer in leaves to preserve the buds. Which is why they are last to yellow. But no nutes are good. K slows the burn and makes it more efficient as it expands when heatedand sort of makes itporous and not smolder like charcoal. Etc. If you could remove nutes from your plant there wouldn't be any ash, it would cleanly burn away. but yea nutes are good. Flushing does nothing

that "swim" talk does nothing to protect you
all it does is make the post annoying as shit to read

8-9 weeks from flip .......... when the plant flips not the lights it may take a week or 2 or 3 ( since 3 comes after 2 ) to respond to the lighting change

This may sound odd, but some of the best tasting herb I've ever had was grown with miracle grow and never flushed. I've also had damn good weed that was grown naturally, never fed or watered other than what nature provides.
Newbs perpetuate flushing. Because it can in part improve your herb, most new growers overfeed. Cannabis also naturally slows uptake at the end of flower. Overfeeding can leave a fowl taste if its not properly cured. Curing is where those newbs go wrong. I've grown using many methods, been growing over a decade. If grown properly flushing will actually hurt your yieldand the plant. When roots are flooded plants release ethylene...shit this is probly gonna get too complicated for you.

Just no..its bad on many levels

No It was intresting, every reply is appreciated, especially if you get technical ^^ Alright, so my friend uses coco, and feeds every day, because he read to treat it like hydro. The past three weeks or so hes been feeding using the canna sceduel on fullstrength everyday..... Do you think he should move to 2/3 or even 1/2 strength of whats recomended? Because he really doesnt want his babys to taste of nutes :D wouldn't a 3 day safty flush be good for a newb? who knows what mistakes he made bongsmilie

its not the flush that makes it taste good its the " CURE " <~~~ that is like the most important part of growing .... well other then remembering to water your plants .............
if it makes you feel better just feed it water for a couple days or a week "BUT"
i always let mine dry up for 3-4 days before chop almost wilted but they seem to dry a bit faster and i live in a fairly humid area

i do flush dont get me wrong
but its on the transition of veg to flower
i grow in loaded coco or peat basically soiless just amended a bit and that is just to deter burning when i dump the bloom to it which also contains alot of N

technically growing is still illegal even in a legal state in the US
if the FED's knocked on RIU's door and said give me info they would thats how they cover their ass
SWIM would be screwed unless he was proxied and had no electronic connection with YOU
but you are small potatoes bro no offense it would cost them more to bust you then your plants are worth :D
beautiful plant by the way

Im asking all theese questions for a friend of noh..... :bigjoint: anyways so my friend is really supried about the whole flushing thing! So after about a week drying.... Do you think he can get away with a 2 week cure... whats honestly the minimum ammount of time one should cure their product before starting to consume it???? and tnx for the suggestion about vpn, or tor browser :p

Curing depends on how dry/wet the bud is.
It should be at approx. 65% humidity for curing to take place,
to wet it will mold, to dry it will never cure.
Open the jar and see if the bud is sweating
if so leave the jar open for a while, check every day!
After a couple weeks it should be OK.
I like at least 4 or 5 weeks.
