Question about the moon.

Okay, so I've read in a book that discusses the teachings of secret societies through the ages and it says that the "ancients" believed that the sun helped plants (not just MJ plants, but all types of plants) to grow "up" and toward the sun, but they also believed that the moon helped plants to grow "out" and stay low.

Does anyone know if there is any truth to this theory about the moon and plants, and if it is true, how would one go about simulating a moon light cast in a grow box and/or room?

I thought about maybe a miniature LCD screen, kinda like the LG cell phone face screens but does that seem like it would work?

Anyone have any ideas about this one?

lol... just take a picture of the moon and tape it to the grow box for your plants to see. Maybe leave some wine and cheese, too... It'll be romantic :)

Is this just your personal opinion or do you actually have some background in botany, horticulture, and/or heavenly celestial objects that could provide some sort of disproof of this theory?

From what I've read, I guess current physicists have discovered that there are some pretty close ideas between what they currently believe and what our ancient ancestors believed metaphysically.

Our ancestors weren't morons. Granted, they didn't have all the current technologies we have today but I can only imagine that since that were they case they would have a lot more time to dedicate toward observing the technologies (farming, irrigation, effects of celestial bodies, etc.) they did have.

 :eyesmoke:

I was just being funny. I have no idea how the moon affects plants, but I definitely doubt that some ink on paper will do shit for your plants ;)

On a more serious note though, just like how the plants perceive where light is coming from and grow towards it, maybe having the moon over them reflecting some of the sun's light at different frequencies does something else to them... or maybe even the fact that a large mass is over them can affect gravity and influence plant life similar to the way the ocean is influenced by the moon.
Anyway, it'd be interesting to compare how cannabis grows in space vs earth... bongsmilie

i'M NO ROCKET SCIENTIST BUT I DO KNOW THAT IF A REEFER PLANT DOES NOT GET ANY MOON BEAMS IT WILL NOT DIE..ON THE OTHER HAND i DONT KNOW IF IT IS BENAFICIAL TO SAID PLANT. WHAT HAPPENS TO PLANTS IN GROW HOUSES THAT NEVER BENEFUITTE FROM THE MOON. ONE CAN ONLY SUMMIZE>>>
