question about watts vs size of plant

That is very advanced stuff for a CFL thread. But you know at this point I agree. I have been watching leaves all night with my ac emergency.

You can only do what you are suggesting if you already have a healthy working room. And a healthy working knowledge.
It takes decades to change herd mentality, prime example is gay marriage or hell even legalization of pot 8)

go back several years in this forum and you'd see the majority flush. In 2011 (I think it was) I wrote my truth about flushing thread, fast forward to today and you see lots of members posting it in flushing threads. IOW there are now more growers aware of the truth and spreading it though it is still a prevalent notion

Go back and try to find folks talkin about using Potassium Sulfate to increase tric production & potency. A few years ago I shared this and fast forward to today, lots of growers use it and talk about it

Does the truth catch on fast,,,,,,,,, no, but it never will if folks don't share it 8)

So whether considered advanced or not I will continue to post the truth and most likely continue to get trolled for doing so

hey guys just curious about this.
say for instance you have 300 watts of cfls running making around 20 000lumens
would it be more beneficial to grow smaller plants to get dense buds or to grow a large plant ?

basically do smaller plants use less lumens for flowering than say a large plant?
Better to run smaller plants to keep the cfls as close as possible, although with a large plant you can use multiple smaller bulbs all over the plant. It depends on what you are using. Personally I think more lower watt bulbs work better than fewer high watt bulbs. The penetration of cfl is not great, lots of smaller bulbs can be put closer with lots of small amounts of heat, rather than 1 large or two large bulbs which give of more heat so cant be as close and can only be in one place at a time.

I have never used large cfl, a mate I helped set up did and wasn't impressed with them. I have built a couple of cabinets with lots of small bulbs in which lots of bonsai MJ plants created dense buds. Both were filled with 2700k 25w bulbs and 6500k 30w bulbs.

Everything is based on small amount of experience doing things this way, I moved on to hps a short time after experimenting with cfl. donated my cupboards/cabinets to others to put to good use. I'm sure other folks have been successful with larger plants but its more hassle. A scrog would be a reasonable idea with one plant too.
