hi guys ive got a 400w hps and the plant is in week 6 of flower,

but my mate has recently said he could lend me a 250 watter aswell,

should i use them both? the 400 at top and the 250 for side lighting..

or is that a bit to much heat for my standard household fan to deal with?
cheers

It's about, not "bowt", please stop abusing the English language.

How much area is the light covering? Do you have a light meter to check the amount of light coming down? I'm running a 400 w CMH over a 2'x3' area and it is on the underpowered side once my cabinet is full of plants. My next cabinet upgrade will be to add an additional 400w CMH, and change it to 2'x4'. I'm using a bat wing hood with no glass and a 250cfm fan blowing over the lamp and plant tops. I have a real open design that allows a lot of airflow, but it is still a cabinet. It holds about 25-30C with the ambient temp being about 10-12C.
