Question for Hempy Bucket users

So I've looked into Hempy buckets and love how simple they are. What I was wondering though, I know you are supposed to water until it flows out of the hole in the bottom. If I were to say insert some kind of tubing that drops to the bottom so when you water it only fills the bottom 2 inches of the bucket, would this work well or would it be pointless? Thanks all!

I know the purpose of this method is that as the plant gets bigger the roots will grow into the 2" reservoir and be submerged in the nutrient solution. If the plant is just a seedling or in the early stages I would say it would be pointless. At least if what I think you are saying is run a tube that will just go directly to the bottom and not get the roots wet. You want to make sure the roots get the nutrients to eventually grow into the bottom part of whatever container you are using. Don’t know if that helps but I would just leave it be, and do it like everyone else has. “If it’s not broken, why fix it?” My $0.02
