Question for people living in CO - Just Moved To Denver..

So, I just moved from North Dakota to Denver, CO.. I've been an avid MJ smoker for the better part of a decade now. Although I don't have a MMJ card, I don't use for "recreational" purposes - I have very severe depression to the point of wanting to commit suicide, I'm manic-depressive (Bi-Polar), have arthritis in my hands from playing football in HS, Fluid build-up/cyst in my left knee, insomnia, the list goes on..

Anyways,
I've done extensive research on HOW to get the MMJ card as far as going to see a doctor(which I can't do, because I currently have NO health insurance and the fees just to get a check up is INSANE!) and also the laws and all that.. But to be honest, I'm at a dead-end trying to find a good/reliable place to go that does EVERYTHING AIO (examination etc) for a reasonable amount..I've found some places wanting 275-300$ and they've required I see a personal doctor and obtain documentation before I can see THEIR doctor.. So, basically what I'm asking is if anyone in the Denver area has any "connection" that they'd be willing to help me out with.. :/

Please and thanks!

TX,

$200+ is pretty typical since most of the time that fee includes the $90 that has to go to the state and whatever the notary charges to stamp your paperwork (usually another $5-$10). I know you can get it done at Herban Wellness (right off I-25 and Colorado blvd) for $250 and they won't require you to have medical records or see another doctor.

Ah, damn..

Idk, I've heard some people around here getting it for around 150 w/ a "hook up" obviously.. So I was hoping to find something around those lines as I am unemployed and on a pretty limited budget :P

Oh, it's possible, but you have to know the right people/doctors. I've heard about a couple up in the hills that only charge $200, but once you add in your time/gas to get to them it ends up costing you about the same.

I know that I had no records and the doctor was $150 plus the $90 dollar fee to the state... I went through Total Health Concepts in Denver... 303.433.3121

Best of luck

Hows it going yall. Im down in Florida and ill be heading up that way to visit around april/may and moving up there either at the end of the summer or towards the end of the year. Have they asked you for any extensive paperwork? I have had lower back problems for years after running for track and cross country and pain killers are too destructive. Let me know what you find out. -Mike

don't delay get it as soon as possible-you cannot afford to wait even if your broke! The laws are changing rapidly and very soon it will be a lot harder to get one even with your problems. Seriously, just do what you have to do and than you can grow your own meds and save $ in the long run.

I gota find out how bro. Im completely clueless down here in FL and finding someone on here to give me advice is like searching through a maze.

just depends on the reason for going. with my opiate perscription I was easily able to get the license without any medical records what so ever. Had I needed them I have plenty to show. It also didn't hurt that one of the doc there was present at my surgery but I'm sure I woulda gotten one either way as that was just a coincidence. Call one of the places doing the doc meetings or w/e and ask them what they think and let them know what documentation you could bring the more the better.
