Question for Teabaggers, Why Obama?

I am just curious as to why the Teabagger movement got so mobilized when Obama came into office? Where were the outcries for personal freedom when Bush was illegally wiretapping people? What about his starting the renditions and Guantanamo Bay? Why were they not calling for hearings about the intelligence failures that lead up to 9/11 as they are for the Benghazi attacks? Where was the concern about the economy as Bush destroyed it? Why weren't they worried when he just invaded countries and put it on credit? What about the allegations of cronyism with Halliburton getting government contracts and their ties to Cheney? Why didn't they ask to see the college transcripts of Bush?

Why didn't they rise up and politically attack Clinton? Or Reagan? Or Carter? What is so different about Obama? Why all teh concern for his birth certificate and place of birth? Why weren't they concerned about Mitt Romney whose family hated the USA and our family values they fled to drug cartel infested Mexico to practice their unGodly and un-American religious practices? Why didn't the Teabaggers demand his birth certificate and his transcripts? What is so different the them? What are your thoughts?

What is so different about Obama? What makes Reagan, Bush Sr., Clinton, and Bush Jr. different than Obama? I mean they are all men who went to good schools and rose to the presidency. I don't know what makes Obama so unique that the GOP and Republicans hate him so much? Why do they talk about the good old days and use flags from early on in US history when we were a slave owning misogynistic poor hating nation? It seems as if they think those were the good ol' days and reminisce about them and they try to emulate them while forgetting the horrors our nation inflicted upon the poor, women, blacks, and native peoples.

Either way I am rambling, but can any of the Conservatives shed some light on what makes Obama so terrifying to the GOP? Why do they use such vitriol when it comes to talking about him versus previous presidents (both Democrat and Republican because the Teabaggers are populists and not aligned with any political party according to many of them, which still doesn't explain why they all ran as Republicans in the recent elections). So why Obama?

1) What is a Teabagger?

2) If referring to the Tea Party Movement, which one are you referring to?

3) The Tea Party Movement was born on Dec 16, 2007... so W was a year away from being gone. If you didn't hear any complaints from them about W, you weren't listening. As for their complaints about Clinton, Reagan and Carter... how could they say anything when they didn't exist???????????????????

4) Any more revisionist history you want explained?

Well done, sir. I was going to post something very similar to your #3. Also, you were far more gracious and tactful than I was going to be in my response to the sack of shit OP who posted the text wall of absolute bunk.

Thanks. I was afraid #4 was a little too mean.

The TEA party platform:

You are sputtering and arguing with the phantoms in your own head. It is amusing.

Anyone?..Bueller..Bueller..

teabagger sounds pornographic but I'll play.

Picking on Romney's family was off base. His dad George was the last successful Governor MI had. The state and city of Detroit and the auto market was never stronger than when he was leading. He fought against Goldwater and was considered a very liberal republican.

They actually branched out and grew from "The Campaign for Liberty", a Ron Paul production, in response to the shitty liberal and freedom stripping policies of Bush. Kinda hard to bitch about those before him when they didn't exist.

I don't get the obsession with the birth certificate so I can't answer that.

Everything they claimed about the stimulus is much truer than what the admin team claimed.

Obamacare is terribad. It's not just the teabaggers bitching, it's anyone with any business sense.

I think some fly the rebel flag because they are racist and don't give a shit, some it's a heritage thing. I'm from the North but I still understand that 98% of the population did not own slaves and Sherman marched through raping, pillaging and burning down their property. Who wouldn't take up arms besides Buck? It's a shitty period of our history and flying the flag is very insensitive. Some don't care and fly it anyway, some don't understand or believe it is because to them it's like a coat of arms symbolizing heritage.

I have not heard anyone but Biden saying they are for slavery. Slavery is practiced more today than at any point in our history but ignore that and focus on 150 years ago, seems wrong to me. Let's worry about slavery today.

The Koch brothers co-opted the tea party and turned it angry and fed off of people's racisms and other irrational fears. Follow the money on this one.

Some people actually understand we couldn't sustain the spending excess of Bush, the wars, the invasion of liberties. When Obama doubled down on these policies after complaining about them in Senate it rubbed those people the wrong way.

Why do people say we need to invest in infrastructure but brag about the stimulus and the 18 jobs bills that have been passed? Do we think try number 20 will be better? I was done after the 1st failure because we said it would be exactly what it was while we were being told it was something else.

I can't speak for all teabaggers but for myself, I joined the Campaign because of unfunded wars, The Patriot Act, UGIA (can't play online poker now, thanks), the Port Authority Act, the auto bailouts and no child left behind. What Obama has done was add cell phones to the Patriot act, start a few more wars unconstitutionally (at least Bush got a declaration from Congress fwiw), enact a ridiculous "stimulus" package, nationalize the auto industry, increase spending, propose sequestration them blamed the republicans then lied about the hurts it would cause and divide the country with hate and lies.

Are we allowed to be dissatisfied with both Bush AND Obama? May I ask why you still support such a failure?

So in summary.
You don't like the economic recovery and wished our auto industry collapsed

What do you think would have happened if the auto industry went through a structured bankruptcy?Do you think they would have dissolved?

Should we have bailed out AMC, Pontiac, Olds, Hummer?

Why were successful dealerships forced closed?

Why did Penske back out of buying Saturn? Aren't those jobs important too?

Why were the dems against the bailouts when Bush did it but for it when Obama did it?

Do you agree with the 8k incentive to buy Volts when the average buyer makes 125k a year?

Knowing now that the 4k auto incentive cost close to 20k and was designed in such a way that Canadians could cross the border and buy a japanese auto and receive money from American tax payers while inflating the used car market prices do you think it was successful?

Are you happy with the stimulus? Did it do what they said it would?

edited for ease of response

When you say auto industry, you just mean GM...Companies like ford have done well the last time I looked..If and when I buy a new truck it will not be a GM product, I am thinking about buying a truck that is made in Tenn...I will leave the GM's for the Dems to continue to bail out....JMHO..

I've never been a fan of the tea tards. They lost any credibility with most people with a shred of intellectual honesty when they have big government candidates like Palin as their mouth piece.

I always wondered where this crowd was during the years of George The Lesser. Never heard a peep. It's just like the war protesters that have seem to just vanished. Rather telling.

Yeah, Palin was the nail in the coffin for me. You could see the entire landscape of the tea party change when the Koch brothers got involved. They went from social liberty to social conservatism when that happened. The common denominator is our spending but it also attracted many nutbags who joined for various other reasons.

This crowd was there during Bush, but the left and right media both ignored anything Ron Paul related and it was just beginning.
