Question for Those Who Use Miracle Grow

I am 28 days since the flip. I started in MG Moisture Control and when I flipped I transplanted to MG Potting Soil. I use MG nutes at 1/4 dose every third watering or so. My question is this.....if I were to go from seedling to finished product with, say, MG Potting Soil, would I need to add nutes during flower? Or do you grow from start to finish with just the nutes in the soil?

Yes you will need to add nutes during flower. Even the best soils need ferts after a few weeks. Take it slow. Also watch out for time release soil. Can mess with your feeding.

I use organic mg, before I was using reg mg but I was flushing before potting so all the slow release shit was mostly out.
im not a mg hater, never had any serious problems.

the only time i ever did a grow beginning to end with mg was 06 or 07 and i did use some scotts bloom i believe...Whatever i found at home depot at the time..There was no method to my madness at all then but i did end up with some fat colas.

Yeah it will work but there is better out there. I think last time I used it was 05-06 also. The time release is the little balls of liquid. Kinda hard to wash those out.

I may look for something without fertilizer after I get through this first grow. The idea of adding nutes is a little daunting right now, but I have to learn sooner or later I guess.

I like the MG organic potting mix. Nutes are minimal; 0.xx. MG tomato food works well for veg. If you're not using time release soil you can use it without any worries. Last grow I used the tomato food & bloom booster and it worked well, but I had problems very late into flowering. Close enough to harvest that I didn't try to correct it. Don't be afraid of MG nutes or the soil, just be careful about using them together, especially the "feeds for X months" soil. It's one or the other, unless you're using the organic mix with low nutes. Good Luck!

MG ferts work fine...with your soil...
You just need to start the ferts slow....
Mix if it says 1 Tablespoon per gallon of water--use 1/4 TableSpoon first week...
Then second week use 1/2 TBS...
The third week use 3/4 TBS... each week up amount ....
Plant will show changes, Plus/Minus about one week later...
So what you add today to your plant, will show on/in it's leaves in one week...
If leaves stay a nice green the week after you add 1/4 strength... then up it... Get it?
Good Luck man...

I'm not trying to knock the use of MG on its performance, but I really do feel strongly about Monsanto and what they're doing to agriculture, and, since MG is owned by Monsanto, it makes me always want to ask people who are using MG products to reconsider. I'm not saying you need to buy super fancy "ganja specific" (whatever that really means) gear, just, if you need to grab you supplies at Home depot or wal mart or one of the big-box stores, go with one of MGs competitors like vigoro, a subsidiary of the u.s. fertilizer corporation.
ok off my soapbox about monsanto
be easy,
:peace:
