Question for you guys who smoke a lot of pot

if you love this dude dont fuck with his weed. a girl following me around bitching about me smoking and throwing my shit away would have me running for the hills faster than the flash........he could be doing way worse. like heroin and then hed be robbing your pocketbook while you slept. then help ya look for the shit he took in the morning....

He sounds like a loser and an asshole and I doubt weed created that monster. It may help nurture it, but he's not going to quit anytime soon from outside pressure. Unless weed directly leads negative repercussions in his life multiple times, he probably won't look at getting rid of it.

You won't be able to convince him. Throwing stuff away is definitely the worst thing you can do, because then he'd be examining his relationship with you and not marijuana...

Honestly, it doesn't sound like he can be rationalized with if he has already quit his job and has his mind set on dealing. If he's okay with dealing, I sincerely doubt he is going to look at quitting smoking anytime soon. You could throw out an ultimatum and threaten to leave if he doesn't either quit or cut back (and make his life about something else)...but honestly, I think he might just move on if he has been as bad as you sound...which would probably be the best thing for you.

Weed doesn't turn you into an asshole... at least none of the potheads I know. I think he just is one. Also, potheads don't have to be losers (I consider myself pretty successful... I earn around 6 figures in my 20s)...but starting before brain development completes (~20-22) can cause long term implications.

Basically, what I'm saying is that it's ultimately completely up to him. There's not much you can do...but also realize there is only so much you can blame on weed. If there are a number of character flaws you are now seeing in him, consider that they were there the entire time. If this is a dealbreaker for you (from the sounds of it, it should be) then you need to accept you might have to move on from this relationship...

I'm addicted to food. Every time I try to quit eating I get really hungry and if I really try to stay determined I end up feeling like I'm going to die but then I go eat. Food is the worst addiction. Everyone out there... Never start eating unless you want this to happen to you. Food - addicted on the first bite.

Food - most addictive drug. Withdrawals are straight deadly.

Tramadol (so safe it is not even scheduled) withdrawals are so bad they treat them with induced coma.

Much safer than Cannabis.

Nothing wrong with smoking pot. It actually makes me less of an asshole for sure. As for addictiveness coffee is worse, I get cranky if I don't smoke for awhile but, if I don't have my coffee in the morning I get a awful headache.
