ok guys just out of curiosity which would you rather have a 250 watt ceramic metal halide light or a 400 watt Hps light? thanks I will base my buying decision on your opinions

MH= VEG STATE... HPS= FLOWERING....if your on a budget and cant afford both then the hps is more needed...you can get a cheap cfl set up that will get you thru the veg state...but the flowering stage is where u want to put all your cash at...

also i wouldnt have more than 4 plants under that 400w hps remember 100watts per plant

if only one bulb may be purchased, i;d take this, i think

i'd get the 400 mh
i'd use it to crack, veg, clone, and sex my 10-12 plants (4-7 males will phase out prior to flower)
by the time i had done all this...
5 days germ/break surface
15 day seedling
15 day veg
10 day root cuttings
5 - 10 days sexing...

you ganna tell me that if i buy a mh400 watter now, i can;t come up with a hps 600watter(IDEAL for a hobby grower) in 8 - 9 WEEKS time?
i can't save 15-18 dollars per week while i'm staying at home watching my girls get all sextyfied?

you don't need the hps till you need it - get the mh 400

Dude, just get a digital setup on ebay for a couple hundred and you'll have both MH and HPS with cool tube!

Yup, I got; 2, 600W and 1, 400W MH/HPS combos for $625.00 to my door...entry level shit of course.
