Question. If MJ roots love Oxygen so much why not..............?

Next run I'll post pics.I have pics here but only of plants.I water the top till the roots are established.No I never change the water just refill every 4-7 days,depends on how big she is,so i've added the airstone to keep the water from becoming stagnant

very nice indeed. sure wish you had a grow journal...so how well does it wick, so the deeper the reevoir the longer without watering? im gonnatry an incorporate this in my rubbermaid setup..atleast to capture any runoff (though i dont water till i see any)

This is all the pieces.As you can see you have to sacrifice a bucket by cutting off the bottom 3"in and drilling holes in it.I use the little blue plastic cup to hold the dirt to wick up the water.A piece of pvc to use as a fill tube(when inside I cut the pvc to fit inside the bucket with the lid on but above soil level).A pillow case so the soil doesn't fall thru the holes.The bucket lid

I drilled a few holes in the cup so the water will seep thru

Put the cup in the bottom and put the cut bottom bucket piece on top.Drill a hole for the pvc to fit thru to the bottom and drill a little hole in the side of the bucket where the bottom of the soil would be,that way you know when its full of water

Put the pillow case inside.I guess you don't really need the cup as long as you use a pillow case or weed barrier fabric,something so the dirt doesn't fall thru.

Make sure when you put soil in you pack it down in the little cup.I guess that's it.

I see on youtube everyone does veggies like this but not mj.I've only been growing my own weed for a couple years but i've never gotten less than 5oz per plant this way.The last one was pretty good too.....Ny diesel x og kush......6oz :cool:

If it were me, id line the outskirts of the bucket with this stuff and put it all on an air manifold system of some sort.
as someone else said, having more air in one spot than another will most likely cause thinning of the roots because its too dry

this is why people use air pots because it comes down to how you mix your soil combined with air pruning. I think if you did just on the outsides with maybe one running up the middle you'd be golden.

Perhaps Ill try this with my hempy bucket experiments
