Question not answered in my books

I have great success with rollitup when my books fail me. Here's my situation:

The little hairs or pistils on my buds all turned brown so i thought it was time to take them down, or soon with in 1 or 2 weeks. But then on one branch, the hairs on the buds started morphing into bigger purple hairs and i was like Whoa! Obviously they have a little bit of time.Here's my question: I just stopped giving them nutes but if they're just starting to turn purple my instinct tells my to keep pumping them with the nutes. Should i play it safe and just stop or do you think they will keep growing and finish just fine

how long have you been flowering for?
what strain?

Purple Erkle(so obviously it is supposed to keep goin) i just can't decide whether or not to keep feeding them. I really dont want harsh weed, you know but im afraid if i stop feeding them they wont blow up the way they are probabaly capable of doing.
