Question on harvest weeks?

Newbie second grow..... I'm growing a sativa plant. My question is when do I start counting the amount of weeks that flowering has began. I'm confused because some say it starts from the moment of light cycle change and I see other saying it starts when you start to see flowers. Can some one please advise me on exactly what is correct. Please expericed growers help me clarify. I see a lot of newbies like me making threads in here writing on here like they are pros and they are on their first grow lol. Thanks a bunch!

start keeping track after you see flowers about a week in

and never go by the weeks just keep track so you kinda know when to start scoping and what weeks to add certain nutes just so you know if your plant acts up it could be normal for certain weeks or if its a new strain in your garden you will notice that they do certain things certain weeks

Throw away your calendar unless you going to grow a certain strain over and over. Read the plant to changes as so many variables go into a grow. If you like to journal what you do and when, then sure, but don't act just based on timelines read about or heard about.

Also I am wanting to grow the same type of strain over and over, and since I'm looking for to clone this same sativa does this mean I won't have a thick harvest compared to doing indica.

Harvest is all going to depend on plant treatment. Can grab clones and do SOG, scrog, lst, veg long or short. Mainly all depends on your space available, how many and light types, yadda yadda blah blah.

I started dec 11 th and I just feel like I have abundance of flowering or am I just trip n?

Man I had these veg n under some cfls for at least two months maybe 2 1/2 and they are from a bag seed that was blue dream at least that's what I was told when I had got my smoke and happened to find three seed and this what I got now. I up graded and got a hps with a ballast 150. Setup that I installed the day of sch change
