My god, neither of those. Very old LED tech there, don't waste your money.

Just lower those CFLs and you'll be fine.

I thought it just said vegging. Go get a small HPS, like 150w - or more CFLs. LEDs are not ideal and you need to really be up on your stuff when purchasing them. There is no comparison between the new higher watt LEDs and the low watt ones like your pictures. The spectrum of the LEDs is also very important as well as the angle of reflector. I would go with something else.

I like the small HPS idea. Good LEDs CANNOT be too close to the plant. They will bleach the chloroplast. You're best off getting a bigger CFL or small HPS could even be cooler. You could cut a sheet of Polycarbonate and place it below that exhaust fan on the top of the cab to vent out heat from the lights and prevent the canopy from growing into the bulb.

thanks guys im actually thinking about using 300watt cfls would that be over kill
