Question on plant structure in a sea of green

What kind of plant structure should I look for when growing in a sea of green? It's going from an EZ Cloner into .5 gallon pots(1 month veg). Into a 2 gallon fabric pot to finish.

I like the idea of one single cola to reduce the amount of popcorn buds. Does this mean I should stay away from strains that like to branch out a lot? I've seen some strains grow straight up with few to no branching. And some with a crazy amount of branching.

unless you have experienced vegging a month in 1/2 gallon pots and I'm severely missing something, I would start and finish in that 2 gallon fabric...

I do a sea of green..ish of 3 gallon in a 4 x 8 and come out with about 2 lb with 2 weeks veg under 2 (600w) lights. I guess if you're just blasting out total plant count and I was half gallons and only getting like a quarter ounce per plant maybe? one topping on my 32 plants gives me 64 beautiful colas with no fuss or training. very little to trim as well which could be a plus or a minus I guess.... I'm definitely interested to see what comes out of this and learn something as well.

You growing soil or hydro?

I ran a flood and drain sog for the last 10 years. Single cola plants in 6 inch pots of hydroton. The clones vegged for 2ish weeks(strain depending) and then into a 4x4 flood tray which usually had about 45 plants flowering at once. They went into flower about 7-8 inches tall and finished about 24-30 inches. Finding good single cola strains is important. My best yields were 28-30g per plant with a sativa dominant white widow. Usually I ran a variety of strains all at once and averaged about 20g per plant.
