Question re: N. Cali Cannabis Clubs

I am planning a road trip to northern Cali in the near future and wanted to know how the shops are treating people who dont have medical marijuana cards. Will they even let me in? Specifically I am interested in hooking up with some fresh genetics (clones). Do you know of any good clubs/strains available?

I'm not sure if its a good idea to post specifics about shops on the nets, but a private message would be awesome.
