Do you have to cure in jars for can it be like a margarine container or something like that?

well seemed a logical question to me. I just wanted to reduce the amount of air in the jars and compact them. no lol to it !

As long as it is clean and not plastic smelling. You can also cure in paper bags or cardboard boxes, anything where you can slow and control the drying process.
