Questions about a CFL Grow Tent Kit

Hello,

Quick intro before my question - I am a 'medical marijuana' user (progressive MS) - hadn't touched weed in 20+ years since my teen years but started again since I got sick... first and foremost the message I spread is that marijuana does help with some of my MS symptoms, but more importantly, I think EVERYBODY should have legal access to the wonderful plant! Whether I was sick or not, now that I have had quality stuff from the compassion club, I think society would benefit if more people used marijuana!

Anyway, I have been doing a lot of reading and trying to understand all aspects of growing, particularly what would be best for my situation... doesn't have to be stealth but the room I have is too big and cluttered so I have decided that a grow tent for 2 plants per harvest would be a great start for me.

Obviously I want to piece out a kit to get the best elements and cost. I found this tent from a fellow Canadian but I had some questions...

Not sure how the dual CFL's are attached/mounted (with a dual reflector?) and I have asked the company this question, but my main question pertains to the ventilation - my newbie mind only sees one fan being included in this package? Intake or exhaust? If the black circular thing is the exhaust fan for use with the carbon filter, I'd need to purchase a fan to blow fresh air in, correct? Just can't understand if so why they didn't include this in the kit.

that's a nice set up but in my opinion you can probably get most of those things at a better price if you were to shop around you will see that it's cheaper to buy them seperate BUT to answer the question the tent will have little vent flaps on the side of the tent that can be flipped up, the fan i use as exhaust pulling from my tent thru my filter and out of the end of the filter, clean air will be sucked in through the vent flaps on the sides. i have a 5x5x7 tent with a 6" turbo fan and a carbon filter on the end and it will pull a doobie right out my mouth if i get to close to the intake.. powerful lil fucker.. if your not liking that idea then get a small 4" inline for $25 or so and pull air from where ever you want.. KEEP ON GROWIN. HEY also the tent comes with bars inside to hang lights and things so no worries m8

Thanks man... I was using that tent as a guideline as to what I would need to buy piece by piece and hopefully do it cheaper than their price, but I couldn't understand why there was only one fan... doesn't using the side vent flaps for air intake also allow light in?

they light proof them, passive instake and a forced exhaust, or a bigger exhaust than intake will assure negative presure to keep all of the air coming out of the tent contained to the carbon filter, with that being said you need an exhaust and a fan on the inside of the tent to blow hot air away, and thicken up your stalks.

I get it now... I'd been thrown off by the 'grow box' layouts I originally considered before realizing I should try to do it right despite being small scale. Thanks for all your help gentlemen!
