got a question about outdoors grows in NE U.S. Been growing outdoor for a while in lets say southern Pennsylvannia. plants lower leaves are yellowing, lets say 2 weeks into flower(give or take). i was wondering if its normal for my plants to be dropping so many leaves so early in the season. i dont know if the climate/ light/ area is making them do this since im so far north. i havnt really been able to find any useful info about this specific area and if its normal for more noreasternly grow plants to do this. besides the lower leaves falling, the plants look pretty healthy and no stunted growth has been observed, i am a fairly experienced grower with over 10 years under my belt, but even the best of us need to ask for help once in a while. would appreciate any feedback.dont be hasty to ask for specifics if neccesary.
-keep it rollin folks

Have you fertilized it, where did you plant it? An open field or a corn field. If you put it in a corn field I think it would be cool because of the higher nitrogen content of the soil, but in an open untilled patch of earth it takes time for that dirt you dug up to break down releasing nutrients. Try giving it a nice heavy dose of fertilizer it it is a big plant. Sound like it is running low on nitrogen because of the yellowing lower leafs. If it is in a container then you probably still gonna need to feed it. Cheers.

hi bud, thanks for your input. heres some more specifics. they are all potted in an alcove in the wooods that gets plenty of direct sunlight. most are in 3 gal pots a few are in 4 gal.extremely limeted budget this year, but i make do with what i have.potted in hand mixed soil with pearlite, fish emulsoin, and regular potting mix with no added ferts.i fert once a week with a cheap 2-7-7 mix i got with a little extra nitro added.i was using a much higher nitro fert ,but the ladies told me theyre ready for the bloom ones.i got bout 15 plants, mostly all different strains, the sativas which are still doing the stretch are being the most troublesome at the moment. indicas are doing great, the hybrids are somewhere in the middle. and i do agree, they look like they could use a tad more nitro.so thats probably the first thing i adjust at next feeding.do you have any firsthand experience growing in this region?
