Questions First Grow Wit Bucketeer

I am growing for my first time in a bucketeer using a sativa strain she is about a month into flowering and looking beautiful!! I did a flush tonight and I've noticed that she is starting to get a little top heavy. So I understand I need to put the bucket up on something to get the drain off the ground in order to drain but I don't understand how exactly I'm suppose to rinse and keep the inside of that bucket clean??? Don't I need to be able to clean it when I flush in order to prevent root rot? I have a lot more questions but this is the top of the list right now any input would be greatly appreciated.

The plant is going to be too tall to lift out of the res. Just added some pics. Now in about another two weeks I'm not going to be able to move her at all even out of this flower area cause i think she'll be to big. hmmmm?

very nice looking plant. i see what you mean about the height. it would be difficult to move around like that by yourself.
how do you like the bucketeer?
i ask because i want one of these but i think of adding a water pump and feeder tube, how is yours set up?

You do not need to clean the res. You may want to, but it really isn't necessary. Just empty out as much water as possible and refill it. Roseman doesn't even empty his all the way when he changes the nutrient solution. The left over solution will not cause root rot. What are your other questions?

Well i'm using fox farm nuts big grow tiger bloom and the organic big bloom i think it is. Also using fox farm open sesime beasty bloomz and cha ching. I just finished open sesime last night did a flush and started her wit beasty bloomz. I will use that for two weeks then finish her wit cha ching befor i flush. Ppm is at 1000. Ph is 5.5 my main concern right now is root rot i lost my last plant to rot but she was in an aero garden witch wasn't the best to grow in. What about microw nuts? Do i need to add those or is she ok as long as a change the res every week?

ya champ lift the netcup lid out and put it into a new 5 gallon. clean the old one and use it next time you change reservoirs. you don't need the drainage kit I just flip my buckets upside down in the grass and fertilize my lawn... I got some gnarly weeds this year.

best of luck man. after a couple days of being in un aerated or plain fresh (non fertilized) water the plants will definitely droop and stress.

you could always LST ( Low Stress Train) It. Just get some rash ties or rope, then tie it to the branches u want to be "shorter" bend them a lil ways over and tie. It will help with ur space issue and promote new undergrowth.

I was planning on LST'n it or making it a kind of a scrog grow wit a grid ya know... i dunno yet. Wit the nuts I've read that you should use different nuts for different stages of the plants flowering cycle. Is this correct? What kinda micro nuts does anyone suggest? Brand? Name?

I'm using Stealth Hydro micro and grow(and bloom for flowering). i find it simple they are pre-measured in packets and ph balanced. Just mix, strain, and its ready. i think the pre-measurements are for 6 gallons.

You should just buy a complet set of grow, micro, and bloom nutes but if you already have the grow and bloom then try to find the micro for that same brand.

General Hydroponics 3-part or the floranova 2-part. Both are great and easy 2 use.bongsmilie
