im in a real sticky situation....Im gonna be leaving for a family reunion in a few weeks and my plants wont even be into their 7weeks of harvest yet (few days before 7weeks of goin 12/12), and not to mention there was a issue where the house lost power for a few days that left the girls in freezing cold and no light and im sure that haulted them for that time. I cant trust anyone else to care for them or cut them n dry for me, just one friend who will take in the dryed buds n cure them in jars while im away.
question is how can i get them to rippen up faster, i realize im gonna lose yeild, but i need to get the trichs to rippen up alil more so i dont early harvest bud thats not really worth smoking...I read awhile back turning light cycle down helps, its been on 11/13 and was wondering should i turn it down more? what are some things i could do?

If you were growing in an automatic hydro system I would say add another reservoir, pull the lights up and shut the door. If it was in soil you could put water bottles on slow release, You would only need them to last for a week or so as I've heard plants like nice dry soil in the later stages of flowering. I've done it for 2 weeks, 3 weeks is pushing it though and with everything that could go wrong its not a good idea if your setup isn't bulletproof. I personally wouldn't lower the light cycle any more than you have it. Even small changes to the light cycle stress your plants. I picked all of the best heads off my plant kept it growing and it had twice as much on it when I got back from vacation.

I'd try a gravity drip system of some sort. If your intent on harvesting early go 10/14 and cross your fingers. Don't forget to flush. =)
