k.

is it possible to grow a plant that will bud in a closet with 2 - 3 flourescent lights in there? they are like 60, 60, and 75 watts each... idk the lumens or all that shit(800 lumens for the 60 watt bulbs. idk about the 65). i got aluminum foil (the dull side) all around and its all pointed at the little 2 week old plants. and i got a fan in there that's always on. i don't care how long it takes, i just want to know if it will be able to bud and stuff. oh yeah. and i only want to have like 2 or 3 plants maxxx. i got like 7 in there now. but... im planning on taking some out when it gets warm.

also im using some soil that says it feeds for like 9 months... soo... should i feed it or whatever? i live in the ghetto, cant get a ph meter or whatever.. the conditions arent perfect in the wild, why they gotta be perfect in my closet? lol.

k... what else... hmm...

oh yeah. and about my plants. i had them under an effing heating lamp for like the first 7 or 8 days. and they are really lanky and shit. they like fall over on cuz of the weight of the whole 2 or 4 tiny ass leaves on it. any way i can fix this? i mean like burying them deeper or something... idk. i only have like 2 or 3 plants that have decent stems.

i'll add more questions when i can think of some. and yeah. im the biggest novice in the world. WHO CARES lol :]

Bury them up to the first set of leaves. Get some plain soil, without any added nutes. MG organic is fine. Your lights sound adequate but you need to get the plants as close as possible without burning them - 3-4". Get a little fan have point it over the tops of the plants to circulate fresh air, add a little coolness and strengthen the roots. Take the foil down - it creates hot spots and will burn your plants. Instead, if possible, paint your walls flat white or do what I did on one of my 1st grows - go to a crafts store like Michaels and get a large poster board that students use to exhibit stuff. Make that your "walls" to reflect the light back. Good luck.

You can use a straw that is split down the side and put it around the stem if they still want to fall over. You can also use tooth picks to train them to stand straight.

ohh i like the straw thing that is a great little tip, i like that idea cause you can put the stem in it.

If you have a walmart i just got a bag of regular soil for 6 bucks and it was a huge back 2 cubic feet of soil. they had some cheaper smaller bags for like 3 bucks for 1 cubic foot that might make it a bit easier for you to obtain some.

im not too worried about the soil. it's not like the soil outside is godly and nutritious... and they do fine out there.
