I'm using a 4x2x5 tent. Im using 2 68 watt soft white 4200 lumen cfls and 2 85 watt daylight 4800 lumen cfls. Just recently switched to 12/12 3 days ago. 12 plants growing right now. First grow. Just wondering if It's OK to run all 4 lights during flowering? Also do I have enough light? Any other tips would be appreciated. Thinking about going with 20150429_082117.jpg 20150507_193045.jpg the sog method.

Also, you usually want to put one plant per container. The roots will lock each other out eventually. I usually end up with each plant in its own five gallon container inside. Also, you'll want to look at improving soil by the looks of it - you can use dirt from outside, but amending it with things like pearlite will help it to hold moisture and drain a bit easier. Take care of these few small things and you'll be doing good!

No matter what, this is all a learning process. You need more light. Ideally in the 2700K spectrum. Also since you are using CFL's get those lights close to utilize all the lumens you have. I would thin the plants out, but since this is a learning process I say leave them to see what happens. You definitely want to amend that soil on your next go around. Aeration is huge. Add some perlite and some peat or coco. There are plenty of amendments out there. For the KISS method mix up some super soil. Best of luck!

I've been wanting to mix up some super soil, and now that im finally out of bag soil it might just be that time ;) Im going to order some MaxSea in a bit too, probably do a side by side run of super soil and regular potting soil from lowes or something with MaxSea feed. EXPERIMENTATION! :P
