quick ? bout ISO....thanks

So I hand press my hash...I try n make the best quality possible so I make small batches and I don't sift much...I throw a big pinch of trim in the sift box and lighly move it around n fuck w it for a few minutes to make sure I'm sifting only trichs to press....I don't resift the trim so after several batches I have quite a bit of trim left that stil has plenty of resin on it so I thought try ISO...followed steps I've found on line..trim in jar 91% alchohol wash for 20 secs and strain thru coffee filter onto plate...the liquid was tannish golden brown w a slight very light greenish tint throughout...my question is if u strain thru a coffee filter how do the trichomes get into the solution ur drying out...wouldn't they all get trapped in the coffee filter?...I'm used to dry sift and in my mind there's gotta be holes for the trichs to go thru the screen....I don't understand how iso is wrking

When I tried ISO, I just poured it out in a bowl, and let it evap, and I was left with what I would say thick honey oil.
 
Yeah I have that on the plate this morning...I haven't scraped it yet gonna let it dry some more but its goldenish color like its sppsd to b I think...I've nvr smoked it before.....I got a bunch of lil popcorn buds frm this last harvest ima quick wash them n try n get as clear of a return as possible...do u like this stff bak?...or is it kinda second rate to pressed hash

The resins are dissolved and in solution, so that they pass readily though the filter. It is the remaining plant material that will be stopped by the filter.

So the alchohol liquifies the trichs?...they psss thru filter to reharden on the other side...makes sense
