The part that comes out of the seed (tap root) goes down. I let mine get about 3/4" then put in soil about 3/8" deep. I just lay it on it's side. It knows the direction. Give a good watering. I just spray mist it daily to keep it damp without disturbing the soil as watering from a cup or whatever can do. About every 4th day I water around the rim of the pot...let it search for water......Ive had my seeds soaking for about 3 days now, and the root is just starting to show, ive planted them in soil with the white end up, is this the right way to do it? Does it really matter what way u place them in the soil?
If true why do you see the sprout sometimes with it's helmet (seed casing) still on ???Cannabis seeds sowing position, placement in soil pointed end up
this site says to plant them root up but this one http://www.bcseeds.com/seed_germination.htm
says to plant them root down...
confused
Yes, but i was suggesting planting the tap root down for faster growth.Tap Root down. although a lot of people here say it doesn't really matter because the seed will right itself and the root will grow the correct way. FDD may have even proved this with his topsy turvy thread. Still... I make every attempt to plant the seed with the root down... I figure the less work the little seed has to do in it's first fragile stage of life the better
you can plant it side ways if u really want but i would say the poor plant will use lots of energy righting itself and not growing to full potential. At the end of the day u can do what u like it makes no diffrence to our grows so go for it and best of british luck to you.why not everyone just put it in sideways then everyone is wrong. ha ha ha
soz, didnt mean to.i personally put them , tap root down, but i was making a joke MR West, thanks for ruining it.......jk,lol
