im new to this and i simply want to know if i grow a plant and it turns out to be female will i get multiple harvests out of it or will it die after the first one?

this is an indoor climate controlled growing situation for personal and friend use

if i can get multiple harvests how many do you think i can get before i have to start over

its probably a dumb question but i need to know

thanks in advance/ feelingood420

I have heard of being able to reveg a plant but it is not typical and VERY dependent upon the right environmental conditions. Never done it myself. Other than that, perhaps an expert can opine. You would probably be better off taking clones and thereby granting immortality to the mom.

1. You can keep a plant going on for a LONG time by taking cuttings.

2. You can re-veg a plant after harvest. Just cut it back so that you have a little green left, then turn your lights to 18/6 again. You'll see some new growth starting that looks really weird. Don't worry, the weirdness will go away in about three weeks. Continue vegging until you have the size you want, then flower again.

When cutting the plant back to re-veg, think of how you do roses in preparation for winter.

thanks man if i cant manage to find out how to do that my friend suggested cloning the plants in a growing stage rotation so that i could harvest a plant every couple of weeks and start growing a new one when i harvest it,

by having multiple stages of growing plants i could probably ensure a steady crop of herb right instead of one big harvest then restart right?

I read about a guy that had a 2ft by 2ft by 2ft box and every week he put 3 clones in and harvested 3 the same time. He had a total of 27 plants at once and was getn anywhere from 7-21 grams per plant every week. He used 20oz soda bottles with the top cut off for his soil. This type off setup would be ideal, im thinkn of doing the same thing but only using 2 plants a week instead.
