quick question . should be easy answered

ok guys so my plant is 4-5 weeks flowering and i just have a quick question are the leaves by the buds supposed to have stems? like the leaves right under the buds. thanks for the help

you should be getting somewhat larger "broad" leaves just under the buds... these are needed and provide energy mostly for the buds themselves... there is generally a broad leaf for each meristem, "node", bud, whatever your fancy of vocabulary

but if you're seeing a sticklike structure under those leaves you may have a hermaphrodite

what do you mean by stick like structure?

He means if it looks like a bunch of balls. But most bud grows directly out of the middle of 2 sets of leaves. Like in a V shape almost. Those are the leaves that will have trichs on them if any do, called sugar leaves. Usually pretty small set, not big like fan leaves.
