Quick Question. Single 600w Hps Grow

I want to do a perpetual grow under a 600w hps in a 5x5 tent. I will have each plant in its own 5 gal bucket doing dwc... i will be taking clones and putting them in an aeroponic cloner for 3 weeks then vegging for 3 weeks.

so my question is with the space, light and veg time, how many girls could i squeeze in there with adequete light consumption. i originally thought 3 girls every 3 weeks so that gives me 9 total in the flowering tent. but im thinking there might be room enough room for 4 girls every 3 weeks. so 12 total in the tent...

please, any thoughts are much appreciated. thanks!

Depending on how long you veg them I would say you could get 12 in a 5x5. I have 12 in a 4x4 but only have mothers in it under a bad boy 8 bulb. Thy fit fine, so the extra foot of space would be adequate room for flowering decent size plants.

Good to hear! I figured since the clones wont grow too much while in the aero cloner due to stress and lack of roots, so that 3 week veg time won't really get the ladies too bushy. I think i'll go ahead and try 12 and see how that works for me... Thanks!

i run 16 plants in a 4x4 tent under a 600w light, and pull around 2lbs every 10 weeks. i use rosebuckets for each plant they fit perfictly.

how long do you clone/veg for? ill be leaving them in the cloner for 3 weeks then vegging for another 3. . so maybe 5 every 3 weeks? i just dont want them being too crowded.

when i put my plants in they are around 1.5-2 foot tall and i lollypop the bottoms of them to take new clones, they usially finish out at around 3-4 feet. i have some really sativa strains going now (western winds and one of my tangerine dream) that have gotten to almost 8 feet tall. i super crop those and tie them back into the top metal support bars of my grow tent to let smaller plants below them get light.

my clones get around 60-70 days of veg time under a T5 light in 5x5inch containers. If i only ran the Exile stain i have i dont think i would have a problem pulling 4lbs every 80 days, but the potency isnt great on it and i really like head stash. I picked up some cinderella 99 bx-1 to try and find a father for the exiles but they seem to be very small low yielding plants. i only planted 3 seeds out of my pack and two where female i need to get a potency and yield on them first and ill see how the clones turn out next go around.

I wish i had a camera to get pics but my usb conector on it broke so i cant even keep a journal up.

Growing like this makes things very crowded its basicaly 16 2 foot colas. its a pain in the ass to water the back plants. Also when i take them out around week 5 to shimmy everything up some of them are not able to stay up by themselves. When i cut the plants off the bamboo holding them up at harvest i have yet to have a plant not tople to the ground.

I also run FFoF soil with FF liquid 3 pack and FF solubals, and Advanced nutrients bud candy for the first 4-6 weeks of flowering. I wont begin to feed my clones till around week 6 of veg but they do fine without nutes in the FF soil.

2 ft is what I figured my ladies would be whe they go in. I have 4 mothers started and planned on topping all of them multiple times and takig clones that have been "pre-topped") to reduce stress when the clones are actually cut but still have to main nodes ad hopefully make a decent little bush with a little training and that 3 week veg time.

Good stuff... I'm going to have to run my 400MH along with a 600HPS for flowering and just pick up a T5 fixture for veg cause my MH just seems like overkill for clones and vegging.
any ideas about flowering with a 400MH and 600 HPS rather than just a 1000HPS??
just seems like a decent place to chime in and maybe learn something before blowing my cash on BS

I couldn't imagine how it wouldnt help. . With the MH I would think it would just promote more growth. Although I am new to indoor growing and I have never used MH lights so I really have no experience to give on this.
