quick questions for experianced growers

i just got three grape punch clones from the clubb yestderday. dude said they were ready for soil. so i transplanted them as soon as i got home. they are in 2 gallon containers (as i have very little room to work with) with a mix including three parts pro mix, 1 part pearlite, 1 part worm castings, 1/2 cup lime, 1/3 cup fish emulsion, 1/4 cup epsom salt. and i threw in a little chicken shit... just a little lol. the guy told me i shouldnt put them under any light for 2 days, just keep them in my room. i have a 400watt MH and he said that would be too much for them.

Questions
1) how long do i have to wait before i can throw them under the 400watt MH
2) some leaves are starting to curl and then flake off. what could be causing this with such a young clone


Sub notes: My ph is hangin in at around 6.6. i did water them ALOT yesterday after i transplanted them. i might have took the words "plenty of water" to the extreame, there was a lot of run-off. it is still pretty moist today. the room they are in ranges from 64-73F. that is why i want to get them under a light asap.

it ok to over water so long as soil drain well should not be muddy but moist after as far as 400 mh try placing them in the shade of an older plant by a fan or in germ container

i dont have any older plants tho. these are my first three babygirls. i am also only in a 6x3 growing space.

1. get a 26 watt cfl or a couple for your clones and stuff wait until its bout long as elbow to hand place under 400mh
2. leaves are curling because of too much nutreants are creating acidic conditions in soil plant is burnt i read what u put in the soil for seed mix i clone in soiless mis like perlite and water only too correct place plant plants in bath tub and run room temp or as close to room temp as possble through conainter slowley to wash out acidics about 15 minuts for a half gallon bucket thats how i fixed mine read it in high times

id get like 6 cfls 26 watt 6500 lume blue spectral (should have blue not yellow tint when lit) real cheap at walmart adapter light/ plug in things in hardware 2 strip plugs that mh is good but not fr babies in my opinion my construced strip plug lights hang from big rubberbands i found in my garage mh hps can burn young plants and damper your yeild use cfl for veg

you mean you did a similar mix to mine with clones??? and then you flushed them and they were ok after that????

What is pro mix?

I'm a hydro man myself, but seems like a lot of stuff added to your soil. Does pro mix come with nutes already added?

I put my clones under 1000 watt mh and does'nt seem to hurt them at all. Imagine the strength of the sun. Just raise the 400 about 2' away for a week. Don't ever leave your plants in veg w/out light. Unless you run 18/6.

No offense but, you should do some reading up on cannabis cultivation. Lots of info out there beyond the web and sites like these. Especially this site in particular. Lots of bad advise from inexperienced people and no type of moderation.

NEVER mix lime and epson salt into your potting mix!!!!!

lime is horribly corrosive and toxic and is usually only used BEFORE planting to restore pH deficiencies. if there is no pH deficiency to counter the lime it will easily kill your plants.

same goes for RAW EPSOM SALTS. 99% of fertilizers have enough of this, and it should only be used if they are deficient

honestly I will be shocked if they survive at all

I suggest starting again with just potting mix, perlite, and worm castings. that's ALL you need for 3-4 weeks

so two out of the three plants are doing pretty good. i also got a new Platnum Kush clone a couple days ago. I'll post pix tomorrow

the two smaller ones are my Grape punches, the big bitch is a PlatinumOG, and the bushy looking one is my Mr. Nice Guy. MNG is still in vegg
