Looking for some tips/advice.
I like to make QWISO and then convert it into an e-juice form for smoking but whenever i make QWISO i feel/taste like im not getting all of the ISO out. Different strains, but always has the same taste which seems like iso.
My process -
- freeze all product/iso 12-24hrs
- 20sec washes ( 2 washes per jar/plant matter) - usually 7gs at most in a wash
- strained thru unbleached filters into pyrex.
- Then pending my time needed, ill either let it sit out over night with a fan and evap, or ill aid the evap with a hot griddle/water bath until all liquids are gone and left with oil.
- Then i scrape pans and pile all into Parch paper. work it together and flatten out thin as much as possible. then set the parch paper inside my empty pyrex on the griddle and "purge" until i see bubble start forming.
Am i doing it correctly? Do i need to let it bubble when i purge? I thought the bubbling was co2 being released which was bad and degrading to the oils. maybe im wrong. From all the reading ive done tons of people just say once its evap'd, its all out of iso. I still think some iso is trapped into the oils it self somehow.
Any advice/tips to help rid that taste would be great. its not a huge concern but it does seem like it makes the hit a bit harsher in the back of the throat, causing coughing sometimes.
Thanks in advance!
