So I figure I'm about 7-8 days from going to 24 hours of dark, but i have been in a small race with the mites I acquired a few weeks ago.
I got a simple "soapy" killer and applied it as directed and it def. slowed /stopped them for a bit but they have slowly covered a bit more now, and my ladies DON'T like it very much so i wanna refrain from using it if possible
Only a couple main areas are affected hard and a few smaller areas. There are a few central fan leaves mostly affected. I think i should cut these off?
Plenty of areas are free of activity in the tent there is maybe 15Percent of fan leaves with mite marks.
And as of late i have seen a few red colored bugs but no webs or anything.
I have heard stories of bud crackling form bugs and these issues. is this true? they are not that bad right now.Should I fight the mites for 7 days or do i chop it early?
The Trich's are not really amber yet but they are very close. I want a great end product and I need a hand with deciding this.
Will the mites die once the light is permananly off?
I plan on hanging it in the tent after harvest to dry for a bit, will the mites cease to exist once the temp in no longer warm? and what should i watch out for in this transition?Ultimately what i wanna know is.....is the damage the mites are doing now so bad that they arn't putting on wieght anyway..
Any and all ideas here appreaciated>>>>>>>

personally I would cut them now.depending on the high you want also (cloudy trichs= an UP high and mostly amber = couch lock high) so if you chop now you will have less thc content but a UP high and less damage from the mites.it will be a daily battle at this point.if your up for the task then fight for your girls!

You could always harvest the affected plants and leave the rest. Don't know how fast those buggers spread but it's an option.

Bro that soapy crap didnt work, try mighty wash to 'control' them as they are very hard to eliminate at this stage. And no they wont magically go away when you hang them in a coolroom, they will be on the dried/cured buds and taste like crap to smoke and will be mild aswell in strength. After this harvest spray a solution of mw/mitacide or bleach and water in every crack gap floor walls etc and let it dry naturally,, repeat a week later and vacuum reg.
