Morning all, i have got a few plants outside at the moment just about ready to force flowering, im going to force flowering because if i let nature take its course would probably not be ready to harves tuntil november and with the weather in england being so wet and cold by that time of year i doubt they would make it. For the last couple of days where i live there has been steady rainfall and high humidity which isnt good for my plant. Basically just want to hear from experienced outdoor growers who grow in a climate where it may be quite wet as well as warm in the summer and hear their experiences on controlling the plants enviroment outside when it gets wet and if you have encountered any serious problems because of the rain. My plants look relatively healthy, leaves are pointing down a bit today because of the 2nd grey day running but other that that, all green and nice looking. Also are there any products on sale in the UK that can help fight bud rot if wetness is an issue. Many thanks

i would love to know the same thing .. i have a large outdoor planned for the uk next year... im worried as there seems to be a lot of rain around during flowering months,,,

whats a good strain for outdoor uk .. what are you using?

I am using a cheap strain from kc brain's called brain's damage, its an outdoor variety but not sure if it is particularly mould resistant, i have heard of 1 plant though that is supposedly really strong and does well in outdoor conditions in the uk, and its called hollands hope, dont have any previous experience with it but from what i read ont eh internet it has been specifically bread to cater for the english weather and similar climates

yeah of course, but some strains are hardier than others, and some climates are wetter or dryer than others also, its called weed because its capable of growing anywhere basically, but the flowers that we want to smoke can become damaged or rot away in wetter climates, so if anyone knows how to control it or had bad experiences with wet weather than i'd like to hear from you :~)

you will want to find indica strains to clarify that. indicas have a shorter fowering period. sativas are longer. marijuana is a tropical plant naturally but it got bred into other countries. mexico is the ones who introduced it to america.

You wont reall need to worry to much about the humidity untill your well into flowering and the buds start to fatten up which is going to be a while yet. I gone 100% auto this year, I got some small ones but I got alot of MASSIVE ones aswell, I been harvesting since the end of may and will carry on untill end of october, I did the force flowering thing last year, it worked well but was lots of work.

Yeah i have been force flowering for about a week now, and no signs of flowering or anything, cant determine sex yet, this is my first grow so not entirely sure when i should be seeing hairs for females and balls for males at the nodes, any info would be much appreciated

it will take about 2 weeks 12/12 before you start to see her flowering, how many do you have and are they fem beans?

Nice man, thats good to know, got 4 plants out there, not sure what sex they are,w ill be happy with 1 fat female to be honest, be nicer to get more obviously but as long as i have 1 female i am happy :)
