I'v heard that if you water your indoor plants with rain water thats its the best thing you can give you plants since it comes straight from nature, but i also heard you cant just give it straight from the sky, i heard you have to boil it to kill the bad shit in it and let it sit for 24 hours. any advice.

rain water is fine since that's what mother nature intended the plant to get... however, technology can improve on mother nature and that's why we have distilled and reverse osmosis water.

Rain water is comparable to reverse osmosis water. Contrary to popular belief neither will be a 7 PH. What the both have in common is they have 0-5 PPM of desolved solids. This can actually be a bad thing. If you are growing in soil you should be fine because the soil has food in it. But if you are growing Hydroponicly or Aeroponicaly you will need to add food (disolved solids) because there is none it that water. Tap water has between 100- 500ppm (thats why when you wash your car it gets spots). Where rain water never leaves spots (unless you have dirty rain)
