last night a suprise rainstorm came through the area and it fucking poured! my crop is soaked, all the buds are drenched my question is, are my plants gone? are ruined due to mold? what should i do? expierience would be appreciated.. Thakns

Out came the sun and dried up all the rain.
The Sticky Icky ganja lived through another day.

You should be good for now.
Just take that as a warning that you will need some protection and soon!

ive never had a problem it rained last yr for almost 2 wks straight i had harvest in the rain they will b fine mine where in a cornfield

I go out and shake them off to get as much water off as possible. Careful the excess weight doesn't break branches or lay them over.

Every morning my plants are dripping with dew and I've found no mold so one rain storm isnt gonna hurt.

hopefully,,, they were soaked.. i shook em', brought em inside and now they got a fan blowing hella air on them. they'll be fine but fuck, i gotta build an overhang.

if you built an overhang, how would they get good light? just let em go natural, and a rain shower shouldnt hurt them unless its days of rain. im gonna guess you live in new england somewhere. we get bitches of rainstorms here in mass

na Northern Cali, it never rains but still it rained really hard last night... i jst dont want bud rot..obviously...

If you build an overhang use plexiglass as a cover.... no worries about light there

Rain of course contributes to mold, but it usually takes an extended increase in outside RH to bring on an infestation. many breeders will tell you however, that the buds should be dry for the last two weeks before harvest.

yeah im in ny and i got rained out pretty good last night too, but hey I just went and checked on my 13 girls and theyre all alright, Im thinking about taking a few of them inside and making a new growing place.. just to see if they get bigger ,or smaller.

Because the colas are tightening up and moisture can easily get trapped inside. Everything looks fine until you either trim, or get a whiff of that unmistakable smell of mold.

I'm no expert in outdoor, but after a few years of growing it takes a hell of a lot of rain to cause mold. You should be fine. I'm getting socked right now in NE but no worries, nature takes care of it.

Well I have rot with no rain. It just takes one bug to shit on one of my girls and a little morning due to get it started.


As far as keeping them dry for 2 weeks, just sounds crazy to me. I never had mold happen cause they take up to much water from the roots.

If your referring to my post about 2 weeks dry.... not the soil... the colas. No water should hit ur colas in the last 2 weeks. You can water the pot as needed.

Yeah If my buds are wet when picked I always put a fan on them on high for a day.

Yeah suppose to rain again Sunday evening. I was out at 3:00 am with my shade umbrella on a stand last night. Weird weather - 85 yesterday, 65 today. Suppose to be a little cooler tomorrow.

i am 3 weeks away from harvest and my state is having some crazy rain come through and i am also a bit worried. I'm not to concerned because the plant has survived this long and i'm sure many crops have been rained on but they manage to overcome. all is well.
