Rainwater!

most big cities with smog and what not have acidic rain other wise most is fine, and i mean LA, and NY big
 
It would be wise to do a little test on your rainwater. Even if you live far away from any urban areas acid rain and other contanimants can still make their way to rural areas. I feel like acid rain can travel for thousands of miles(high school flashback here) and i just read an article about the toxins from China's industry making their way to the west coast of the US and having effects. Yeah so all that being said, I would just check out your rainwater and possibly a few times a year as weather patterns and wind directions can change and the "source" of your water could be changing.

That's very good advice, thanks for the info - I will do that.
