Rapidled Rooting kit

Hello all.

I have an area about 30"x20"x4'

I am going to turn this into my veg/drying tent.

I am curious if anyone has results from the rapidled rooting kit.

Torn between the kit and a couple citizen 1818s. Can't find sinks for the cobs so looking at other options

Thanks

280mm Bridgelux Eb strips are $4.3x apiece.

As a long time cob user, I am questioning using cobs anymore, especially in veg and cloning stages....strips are legit these days.....

yes but for $4 they also top out at 16W
a $12 cob can be run up to 100+W
there are $5 cobs that go up to 50+W

I like the cobs but the issue is getting heatsinks into Canada(shipping) or getting them at all.

I am quickly running out of time to get a veg setup. Honestly didnt think I would have this much trouble getting heatsinks.

I got to admit I like the idea of no heat sinks.

I'm not sure which rapidled kit you are talking about, but I've built/upgraded two of the xm-l2 kits. I bought the basic kit, added 2 more leds (cool whites) to bring the total to 12, and cut the bars down to 24" (6 led's per bar). Then I link the bars together with a couple of pieces of L bar.

Each light throws ~62 watts of broad spectrum light. Growmau5 put a par meter on one of the 10 light kits and found it exceeds a 2 bulb 4 foot t5 light.

They are plenty for veg. An at ~$100 they are a very good option. No tools (assuming you don't cut the bar), easy assembly.

How big do you grow them under these lights?

Thanks.

One is used for seedlings and early veg. The other is a supplement to my burple light in the tent. I haven't tried to grow a plant all the way through veg just on these....... Don't see why it wouldn't work though.
