That's funny because I have the drops too, but I didn't want to believe my lying eyes. Drops were on point, reddish orange color. I always say 'golden is golden'. Nice gold color is usually where I like to be. Been saving up for a multi-meter I can just leave in the solution to measure ec/temp/ph, etc. Time to go ahead and get one. I'm pissed I did that to myself, but all you can really do is chalk it up as lesson learned.
I shoot or a slightly orange color with the drops in my soilless mix I use.
I gave up on that style.
I believe the key to keeping pythium away is mid 60's water temp. I run my chiller at 65. Some growers are able to keep the bad bacteria at bay with simply lower water temps. The only thing I've found to work in my rdwc system is hydroguard, and ensuring zero light leaks. I started with zone on this grow and changed to hydroguard when the roots were hitting the water. Key is to make sure everything is very sterile before putting it in the system so it's the first bacteria to culture which prevents other bacteria's from growing. I'm sure each diy system is going to be a little different though. Hook that chiller and system back up!
Not sure to be honest. This is a low yielding strain, but crazy dank and frosty. I almost always got 24oz out of 1200w, but I did add in another 600w light, so hoping for 24-30+ oz.
