I suspect you meant SILICA, not silicone. I made that same mistake the other day when posting

Need a bigger picture of your grow space, and a root picture.

What nutrients? You could top feed by hand ! 1/4 cup/4 hours to recover what appears to be a N deficiency

If you are growing just one plant, why RDWC? Actually, I never understood the need to R when doing hydro

Hi, in need of some help,, 5 week old cutting have now been in R-dwc for 2 weeks, a couple of days ago started looking pale and are now getting worse,,
Done a water change, ph 6, ec 1,, but no improvement,,
Using AN, silicon and piranha, system connected to chiller at 18 degrees,View attachment 4470591
Which AN base are you using and what are you using for available silicon?
How PPMs of the silicon?

Not sure off hand which brand of silicon but using 1/2 mil per litre
I ask, because they vary greatly. The more info you can provide, the better your answers will be.
There are so many variables and all anyone here can do is make an educated guess so it helps to know things like, substrate, water source, lighting, temps/RH, nutrients, EC/PPMS. A pic under natural light would be helpful too.

Local hydro shop

Something's fishy somewhere. Maybe they're buying a knock off from AliBaba. Any ligit nutrient company would not sell silicone, and it could be mislabeled, which tends to happen with Chinese knockoffs. Best to replace it ASAP with genuine Silica

Silica is a compound, silicon is an element.
Silicon dioxide, also known as silica, silicic acid or silicic acid anydride is an oxide of silicon with the chemical formula SiO2, most commonly found in nature as quartz and in various living organisms.

Potassium Silicate is what most of the silica/silicon supplements are made of just like this one and the dyna-gro pro-tekt I use. The companies just cant agree on which to call it.

where did you buy this? I just searched for Growth Technology and found these 2 options Neither are Silicone.

Silicone is any compounds are typically resistant to chemical attack and insensitive to temperature changes and are used to make rubber and plastics and in polishes and lubricants.

Silicon is the seventh most abundant element in the universe and the second most abundant element in the earth's crust.

Nothing is fishy. You're just confusing two.
Si is the chemical symbol for silicon
Silcon is correct. Silcone is not.

Coco, I'm going to try to give you my best educated guess here but take this with a grain of salt because there's not a lot for me to go on and I cant see the true color of your plant.

I think whats going on here is an element imbalance, likely K from the Si
Too much K can lockout calcium, magnesium, iron, and zinc.

Your base nutrients are probably OK. but I'd drop the pH down to 5.9 to help with better micro absorption.
Increase your EC as you go.

I'd drop the Piranha. Its an expensive unnecessary additive.

You can still get the benefits of Si by foliar feeding weekly up until the first wk of bloom or at least until you get things dialed in.

Hope this helps some.

Some of the seasoned hydro growers might be along to correct or fill in anything I may have missed.
Good luck.

Because now my 12 gallon tote that needs to be refilled every 4 days in late flower is attached to an additional 30 gallons. Having more volume makes pH swing and cooling the water in summer far more manageable. I typically run 2 of 4 sites any more and a total of like 60 gallons. I replace every 2 weeks and it typically only fluctuates from 5.6 to 6 or so in those 2 weeks. I've got a 3 year old and a mile long honey do list. Life's just easier not having to spend an hour a day in the garden.
