Hi All,

New to all this and need a little bit of help. Im thinking of doing a scrog grow but not sure when to Re-pot and what sizes to use. Am i right in saying that the Root system will be massive due to the way that i will be growing. Do i just replant from the pot that as the clone in, to the biggest pot that i can fit under my screen? Any help will be much appreciated, thanks

Could do with knowing as when i start training them under the screen there will be no turning back.

if your going to scrog let the plant reach a decent size and ounce your ready to fit your screen over the plant transplant it into its final pot first so there's no messing around ounce the screen is down:peace:

idk size of one gallon, in fact it may be more than a gal. but its the general idea. double pot volume with each re-pot, pretty much.
my 10gal is a plastic tote.

Makes sense to get it in to the final pot before training under the screen. My screen will be about 6"-8" above the pot so if i leave it to long ill struggle to train under the screen. will the final pot need to be bigger than a 15"? Thanks

That's something i cant really answer mate it all comes down to the space you have for growing and the size of the plant you want to grow if i was going to do a 1 plant scrog and my grow area is 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m i would want at-least a 20 litre pot

Hi All,

Still need help with transplanting on a scrog grow. Am I right in saying that my clone goes into a 6" pot, then transplant into a 1 gallon pot for start of veg, Then transplant to a 3 gallon pot about 1 week into veg, Then 5 gallon few weeks into veg, finally 10 gallon for flowing.

1, at what hight to start training under screen?

2, how hard is it to transplant between bigger pots?

3, is it dangerous to transplant that many times because of the chances of killing the plant? If so is there any other way?

Thanks for all the help because I have searched and can't find any information regarding transplanting during a scrog grow.

i cheat! i bend top of plant down and lower screen onto it. arrange the branches nicely underneath. you get many nodes at same developmental stage around the same time. a nice even canopy.
