Re-use soil???

I do not reuse soil because of stability and consistancy changes, i use a fox farm mix of light warrior, ocean forest, and fox farm potting soil, combined with big and chunky perlite by fox farm, for flowering additions combine Peace of Mind Flowering Ferts. If you resuse soil, it will not be as potent because the plants have already extracted the nutes from the soil. Also, pests could be lingering w/o you knowing.

I just add a bit of bonemeal and commercial fertilizer that has all the micronutrient to replenish the fertility, and when I water, I periodically use miracle-gro with the micronutrients. you could also work in a bit of composted cattle manure each time, but that might be going overboard. I have done it though, in the past, but eventually I stopped because it didn't seem to alter results, I would get perfect results with just the soil, bonemeal, fert, and nutes.

I know its dated.....

But just read through this all. As in lighting, its all in what you want as a final product, no?

Whats the reason to reuse? Cost? If so....
What about cutting it? 2/3 new to 1/3 old(flushed). Take the old, and let it compost.

I kinda wanna dump the old soil in the yard. might be able to level off the property in 50 years :-? But seems a waste to just dump it.

Gonna run a few tests and see (gimmie a year or so. bongsmilie)
