Hey everybody,

I'm in my 4th week of growing blue mystic indicas under a 400 watt HPS. I have been watering 12 oz. of water every 7-9 days since they were seedlings. They now have a pretty substantial amount of growth and I'm planning on watering on a more frequent basis with less water.

Is 150 milliliters-200 ml. (4-6 cups) enough water if I water them roughly every 3-5 days or when the soil dries out? Also, is it too early to start giving them nutes? I'm planning on giving them some Fox Farm nutrients at quarter strength pretty soon.

Also, a couple of my bigger plants have already developed roots that are coming out of the bottom of my pot. I this a bad thing or does it mean that they've got a developed root system?

Some of my plants' leaves have started curling kinda... Any idea on what this could be?

I'm using 5 gallon pots and I attached pictures of my grow.

Thanks y'all.

Thats cool that you're growing the same strain. To be honest, I'm a little disappointed in Nirvana because I've gone through a series of ups and downs with these little guys. I hear they're really nute sensitive and they've just recently picked up a healthy growing cycle. Will they eventually fill the pot or will they begin stretching towards the runoff water? This will cause root rot won't it?

I agree I don't see how the roots are coming through the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket when its only that small. If it is then I don't know what to tell you. I don't think I would cut it. Can you gently tuck it back into the bottom of the bucket?? lol

As for the watering I cant give you a specific amount but the rule is you cant water to much at one time just over a period of time. Water it until a little water comes out of the bottom. Then like you said let it dry up a few days before you water it. Using small 2 gallon pots i watered every 2 to 3 days so 5 to 7 sounds right for a 5 gallon bucket to me.
