I some babies in my first atempt on hyrdo. They are in 1 inch cubes of rockwool and in three inch pots filled with geolite or hydrocorn, however you call it.My flow system is not ready let,so I have them on a table outside sitting in bowls of tap water after letting the water sit for a day. They are 10 days old about 3 inches tall and got the three leaves. Can I start using FF Big Bloom and Grow Big or should I wait til I see that it needs it?

Irregardless of size, plants in hydroponic mediums always need food. Just give them a very mild mix.

After the get their first set of 'non round' leaves, start the fert, but as stated above, start very weak, and gradually increase.

Cool,I was going to wait another week, its going to be nice to start now. So,when should I increase the nutes?I was thinking two weeks when the water is changed.

yep, increase a little with each water change. watch your leaves, they will tell you when they've had enough.

ok so when I do see they have had enough or too much, how do I fix that, rinse the roots yeah, but will it shock the plant to throw them in normal water for a while?

when the tips begin to brown, then they're starting to burn from the nutes. Beware, this is potentially a very similar characteristic to light burn. Monitor the temp at the top of the plants, better to error on keeping the light too far than too close.

Best to get a TDS meter. Actual TDS not as important as is the change from day to day. TDS goes up, add just water, TDS add more nutes. Bite the bullet and get a TDS and a pH meter. Takes the guesswork out of it all. Keep in mind what most people say here, keep it simple. Your plants will not kill themselves, you will.
