Been monitoring everything. So far, my struggles have been my plants being on the lime green side. A lot of times is the newer growth, some even all over. I don't think it's unhealthy, but maybe less than optimum.
So I've been like, is my light not intense enough, or am I underfeeding. I've been extraordinarily paranoid about overfeeding.
When I pulled the male's, I left two on a counter, they get a few hours of light a day from ambient flouros. First i noticed they got mildly darker and then the new growth yellowed out in the centers significantly. Then stalks paled.
I put one male other male in a small box for pollen harvest. I put a 23w CFL in there right over the tops. After a few days, the lower leaves stayed the normal lime color, but the tops next to the bulb turned dark green.
My female I have has darkened under the 600 watt. I increased the fert to 750 ppm. I've been unsure if increasing was right because I had just the very tips of some leaves slightly clawing. Since increasing some, the clawing didn't increase.
I'm thinking the light starved males mild darkening was due to reduced nute needs. The CFL male darkened by focusing nutes to those tops.
The female darkened from increased nutes.
The clawing still puzzled me.
I was increasing calmag in all my plants, but maybe can back off. Leaf centers can be a little limey, but the edges darken, which I think means I'm getting plenty of calmag.
Paleness, not unhealthy, but paleness all the same on newer growth could be lack of micro nutes?
Soilless has quite the learning curve.
Added my first Ancient Forest Microbial Tea today. We'll see how that goes.
