Ready or not?

Sour Diesel from growers choice site says 8.5 to 10 weeks (60-70)days. Soil grow indoor Im on the start of week 9 (63)days in. It’s my first time growing don’t know if I should wait a couple more days or if it’s ready. Pics are from different colas within canopy too. Not just from one cola.

She almost ready. Looking gd. U did a great job making it this far. Only look at the trichs on calyx not leaves. Leaves amber alot sooner then bud. How much amber u want is growers choice. Pun intended. Lol another week or so and I think you're golden. Just keep an eye out like u been doing cus it can turn quickly.

Many folks here don't use trichs as the measuring stick for when it's time for harvest. I tend to agree. The consensus of some is when the white pistils turn brown and recede into the bud (which at least in part is actually the bus swelling) it's ready.

I've had plants I let go several months after they were ready - hoping they'd throw out a few nanners so I could save some seeds (Yes, I harvested the main colas but left lower ones for this) The buds were WAY overripe and trichs still white

That tends to happen alot with autos especially if they go over 8 weeks flowering. Yeah once the bud is ripe its really no reason to look at trichs.
I've harvested early and late before tryna get it rt. So late once I could see the 90% amber trichs without a loupe.

I'd wait; looks good, getting close. Make notes on what you see happening, how it swells, changes, colors, density, everything. You're approaching the finish line and hopefully you'll see this again in the future on other grows. Patience is a bitch.

You have it in you to get this far, that's a great start. Ride it out and reap the rewards. By the looks of some plants seen here, some people just should not grow. I used to think that if I can do it, anybody can. Well, that's been proven wrong repeatedly. You can do this.

My last auto grow was frustrating beyond belief….the 3 plants were a month + beyond the breeder estimate, they kept producing white pistils and there were almost no amber trichs.
I believe my actions caused much of it though. I stressed the plants, handled them too much, defoliated too aggressively (and too late) and altered the light cycle several times thinking it might help them finish.
In your case, from the looks of the one cola, you’re pretty close but not quite there. If the plant is happy and getting what it needs, it should finish out in textbook fashion….meaning the pistils will turn and recede, there won’t be another wave of them, and your trichs will gradually change to more ambers and less clears with most being milky
I used to be a firm believer in only harvesting when every single white pistil had turned and receded. I’ve since changed my stance and would consider chopping a plant if it had very few whites, had went through the swelling stage and was clearly ripe otherwise. I think for some reason certain strains will continue to kick off random pistils forever…..
Good luck and the bud looks great by the way.

Thanks a lot man and I wonder mines are photos but does it somewhat play out the same as far as when to harvest?

Things should def play out the same whether it’s autos or photos. It’s been my experience test relatively healthy plants finish up like you expect…but if a plant is stressed or has any other problems, they tend to throw curveballs.
Yours look healthy and in good shape for the final days….or weeks, whatever it turns out to be.
