Hey guys, I am hoping to be recomended a nice quality LED panel for both veg and flower, hopefully that can be purchased on ebay, I have a $300 credit on there after doing a return of a tent and HPS light so hopefully can order through ebay.

After reading for 2 days straight, Im honestly lost with all the options, cree, chinese, huge cobs, different colors etc. I really just need something to setup, turn on, monitor temps and plants health and enjoy growing, not worrying about lighting so much.

I will be growing in coco-coir/perlite with GH Flora series nutes, my tent is 2x4x5' , only growing for personal use. Currently Im running 14 t5 bulbs but the temps are just to hot to control only running an exhaust fan with no a/c in the house and ambient temps in the upper level (grow area) getting up to 88* in the summer

Cheers and thank you

Yes I read that whole thread aswell, mostly talk on building your own boards.

Id really just like to get nice yeilds so I only have to do 2 possibly 3 grows a year so I can take the summer off because the heat likely will be an issue. Havent flowerred with my T5's yet but I will be happy to get 2 grows this winter from them, and then I dont mind using them as shop light fixtures for my garage and upgrading to LED if I can afford it and the math works out to bigger yields in the same grow space.

Im just a personal toker, max 5 grams a week, but I like being able to give a few joints to mom for her arthritis and have a few sessions with friends etc

That thread is locked due to the arguments
Oh. I was just over there reading it and didn't realize it. lol. Anyway, I'm new too,so I thought I would suggest it since there is a lot of information on ready built and DIY there. I am only reading the last 5-6 pages those. No sense in reading stuff from 2013. Anyway. Been hearing good things about Johnson grow lights and one of the guys involved posts here a lot. If your DIY there is a thread about cobkits.com and that guy posts a lot of great info as well. It's here in the LED section. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

LOL, I didn't mean to shoot you down, although it may come across like that. Its a good thread, most of the arguing was deleted by mods, they just got sick of cleaning it up. Theres some awesome folks in the LED section. Some really good threads and builds.

It's all good bro. I finally got to te shit fest and where the mod closed it temporarily. I've been around te rollitup for a lot longer than I've actually been a member. The last 2-3 years, and although there is a ton of priceless information that can be gleaned from the for real posters, 80% of RIU seems to be a shit fest lol. It's kinda funny watching stoners spar with each other so emotionally when you aren't involved. lol.

Sorry OP. Don't mean to hijack your thread bro. Be patient. Someone with knowledge and suggestions for your question should chime in at some point.

Because your in a 2x4 grow space it may be hard to find one light that fits perfect.
A cutter.au Mau5 kit would set you back $360 American, you could have it as a bar of 4, that would run at 200w. It would cover your space, provide some good results. be pretty efficient so less heat, out perform a similar 200w bought LED using cheap diodes like on ebay. I don't know how efficient T5s are so hard for me to say but would of thought it would outperform them in flower. It would be worth asking @welight for the details.
There are other options. Sellers on here of premade lights but a kit would be cheaper.

Are you running all 14 T5's in the 2x4 tent?

With a budget of $300 you are going to struggle to find a single LED fixture that will cover your area adequately.

Definitely stay away from fleabay cheapo chinese panels, they are overhyped, use cheap inefficient diodes and you will only end up being dissapointed.

As airwalker has mentioned above Tastyled are good and get rave reviews here, so do LED lights from Northern grow lights. he has something that is bang on budget and a close fit to what you are looking for see below.

He is also a member on here who goes by the username robincnn.so it might be worth hitting him up and seeing if he will create an ebay listing for you;)

Appreciate the 2 recomendations, he is not interested in ebay sales though. I only have til Sept1st to use this ebay credit.

Would it be better to buy 2 smaller lights to grow in a 2x4 space? So each light would only have to cover 2x2? That is fine with me aswell

Any recomendations? I dont mind spending a little more than the $300, but definetely cant surpass $400, prefer close to $300

Then by all means, diy a 3-4 CXB3590 light with pin heatsinks.

Yeah second airwalkers comment,

You could build a fixture at nearly the same wattage as Robincnn using angle aluminium and a 4 Cob setup spaced evenly along the length of the rail. That would give you a nice spectral distribution across a 2 x 4 area.

Type of kit available and within your budget see below:
http://timbergrowlights.com/200-watt-cree-cxb3590-4-cob-kit-meanwell-hlg-power-supply-free-shipping/

For the same price as above minus 1 COB - but drawing 25watts more power there is this optiion below:
http://timbergrowlights.com/225-watt-cree-cxb3590-3-cob-kit-meanwell-hlg-power-supply-free-shipping/

Good luck with your build should you decide to go this route:peace:
