no one knows what strain type i should use
You know what dude. Screw all the Bullsh*t. Get yourself a clone that's been grown indoors for a month or two. This way it's a couple of feet tall. Put it outdoors and by the time the late summer early fall comes you'll be alright. Sure some strains do this that or the other.

You could just start with a small clone and still yield some good smoke.

Getting started now on any strain is more important that what strain. Just make sure it's chronic. I have yet to see any strain suck outdoors.

i was told to get a clone but i'd rather have seeds, only reason is just cause i have way to much time on my hands and would be able to take care of it and would like to beable to say,hey that was once a seed an look what i got off it,ya know

but for the remainder of the year i'm going to give a clone a try an use what i've read,an plus i wouldnt be getting the seeds till later this year early next

If I lived in Vermont I would probably choose a Indica dominant strain, maybe a Northern Lights or White Rhino =] ~~~~Dude

if it is possible get a m-39 or freezeland. both are great strains that dont mind the cold weather.

is this your first grow?? ive heard northern lights or something crosed with it are one of the best to start of with as it is very forgiving..... so i would say northern light as everybody has there own opinon ... or u could try searching for old threads and look for vermont growers and see what they got goin on ...... but if its your first grow do what i did get some bag seed and just start learning ...

I'm an indoor grower now, but used to be an outdoor grower way back
I'm in NY so not too different conditions. I lived near mountains, you can probably guess which ones. There were excellent spots on those hills than had great sun and stealth, but they sucked for water. Just couldn't get decent plants with out a water system. And I wasn't going to do that, too much work and way too much a security issue.
But I see the free mazar's that seed boutique has been giving away. A number of grow logs have remarked just how dry tolerant these beasts are. And cold tolerant too. They supposedly let these mature right into the winter!
I would have love to have tried these back in the day. Sounds like they could do a fine crop in the great white north.

Easy sativa by female seeds is great for outdoors. I have northern lights going right now and they are simply lovely.

I stick with many strains with any afghan in them, seems to like the outdoors, also african strains are good...but then again, these all do well where I live, very hot and sunny, I dont know bout' your area...
any strain can be grown outdoors...but it is a question of how successful you want it to be...some will perform dramatically better than others...if your ordering seeds, id look in the outdoors sections...

check out the attitude seed bank. http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/ use the pick and mix. in Pa i grow 1.3G, L.A. Confidential, AK48 and a few others. just pick out a few and try them. remember what ones do the best and use them next year.

if i bought a few off the pickn'mix is there a chance they all wont germinate,or will they all.

id buy one of each so i knew what would work best then buy that strain or just clone it or them

if all of them germinated that'd be bad ass an i'd have different types of smoke. :D

ok there is always the chance that a seed wont germinate. just a risk you have to be willing to take when buying seeds. I have been checking out some different strains and these ones are ones that i am buying for in Pa. They might work for you as well. they are all from the attitude seed bank. The thing about only buying one seed of each is you dont get the option of choosing your best plant of that particular strain to use for clones or seed production. there are all kinds of things that you need to take into concideration when thinking about clones and getting the pest pot possible. Hope this helps ya out.

TH Seeds- Burmese Kush Feminized $14.51 each
DNA- Kushberry Feminized $17.73 each
Paradise - White Berry Feminized $16.12 each
Sativa Seed - Blackberry $34.69 for 10 regular seeds.
UFO 1 Dina Fem- Blue Widdow Feminized $17.73 each
DNA- L.A. Confidential $69.37 for 6 regular or $88.74 for 6 Feminized. Already grow these but they are just badass so i threw them in for shit's and giggles.

i might as well just a pack of 10 or 5 fem seeds for now, then when i have X amount of plants started an clones then i'll order off the pick n mix
